Recommended Posts

Hi,

I wanted to install Longman Dictionary on my computer, but before I installed it and I had to install "SetupVirtualCloneDrive5145" in order that Longman Dictionary works well. However, When I tried to install "SetupVirtualCloneDrive5145" I have encountered this error message, whose screen-shot is down.

In addition, I had installed that programme "SetupVirtualCloneDrive5145" on my windows XP bit. Then Longman Dictionary" was working very well with me. However, I am trying to install on Windows 7 bit. Thus, do you think there are versions of SetupVirtualCloneDrive5145" are specific for Windows 7 systems?

If you are not able to Find an Updated Driver, right click on the file, choose properties, go to the compatibility tab and change the properties to run under compatibility mode

Please, did you see my screensho? Or it isn't shown. I have said that the programme which I have mentioned before didn't installed at all.

Updated virtualclonedrive for win7 here http://www.slysoft.c...n/download.html

Thank you so much indeed. I have downloaded virtualclonedrive and worked well with me. However, the original problem which is about "Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English 5th Edition" is still going on.

These are some more information about the problem:

I have installed "Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English 5th Edition". However whenever I run it, I notice that the message whose screenshot is available down. The other parts are working well with me, except when I click on dictionary in "the home page" .

I was expected that this dictionary is incompatible with Windows system. However, when I noticed some other sections are working well, I have changed my mind. As it is being mentioned at these screenshots down:

NOTE: I don't have DVD of "the longman Dictionary For Contemperary English; however, I have installed it from a copy of my computer which I have downloaded ed from forum. I have also installed "Virtual CloneDrive" and when I face that message whose screenshot is the first, I go to "Virtual CloneDrive" and right-click. Then, I chose "mount". After that, I search for "LDOCE5" in the folder from which I have installed "longman Dictionary For Contemperary English Portable"; however, I didn't find like "LDOCE5".

I sometimes have encountered these error messages

The Longman program is asking for the disc to be inserted in the drive for one of two reasons....one could be that it reads off of the disc and uses files from it or it could be checking to see if you have a legitimate (legal) copy of the program. Since you stated you donwloaded this program from a "forum", combined with the fact that you're attempting to mount the image my guess is that it's not a legal copy is it?

(I'm also aware of you asking for assistance previously concerning pirated software). :o

I don't have the CD of that programme as I said before I downloaded that programme from a forum. However, I don't know if or not that program is legitimate. Could you please let me know what I can do to let it run well?
