Slow computer after Malware removal

Hi there,

A few days ago I came to this forum to remove some persistant Malware on my laptop which was sucessful. However, I now have another problem, my computer has been going notably slower ever since. For example, Watching videos on YouTube using Mozilla Firefox has been VERY laggy with the CPU usage going up to 100% at times.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello smalltownboy, are you sure its just not your Internet connection at the moment? If you like you can probably send a private message to MrC that was helping you to see if he can reopen your ticket to make sure nothing has creep-ed back up on your computer.

I will probably take the matter up with MrC again then in that case as its definatly not down to the internet connection.

Yes its a good idea, once he gives you an all clear and if its still acting up, then there may be other things we could try.
