went to change my setings it says i need a password, never saw this befor, I paid for my lic. how do I fix It. It works fine. I have win7home

That message indicates that someone has set up a password to protect against modifying the settings of the program.

If you do not know the password, then the only way to remove/reset it would be to perform a clean uninstallation/reinstallation of the program:

• Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here
  
• It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important
  
• After the computer restarts, install the latest version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from here
  
  • Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version
    
  • Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.
    Restart the computer again and verify that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is in the task tray if using the Pro version.
    

For future reference, the option to set a password may be found in the Settings tab under General Settings as illustrated in the image below:
