mouse double clicking when pushed once

So starting bout 10 minutes ago i noticed then sometimes when i left clicked once on the mouse it would double click ( even though i only heard one clicking sound).

I can't seem to figure out the cause the mouse is a alienware tactx mouse

It's possible the buttons are sticky or dirty. You might want to clean with a rag and something a bit smaller like a tissue or something to get underneath the buttons or a toothpick(gently) to see if anything is stuck.

It is more likely that is was selected to have the OS to use Single-Click vs. Double-Click for selection.

It doesn't always double click though which is why im confused and iv checked the settings its all set double click to open stuff and not single click. I think it might be dirty like buttons suggested but the only problem will be cleaning it because of the design of the mouse its an alienware tactx mouse

Then place a mouse on it and see how it acts.

well on further testing it only happens when i click in a certain spot
