Trying to remove Trojan.Gen.2... Please Help

Recommended Posts

My SEP keeps alerting me of 12-44 possible infections :( and quarantined most of them... however every time it alerts me I feel as if its the same few files that are infected and not new ones... I did a little research online but could not find anything conclusive other than most people saying its best to get personalized help since each file and infection varies from each other.... So that brings me to this forum looking for some help... Thanks in advance...

After I did a quick scan using malwarebytes, 3 problems were identified... the 1st = PUM.Bad.Proxy under the category of registry value, the 2nd is Hijacker.Application under the category of registry value and the 3rd is Hijacker.Application under the category of registry data.

While malwarebytes was running, my Symantec Antiv-virus popped up with 3 risks... All 3 of them are Trojan.Gen.2 and are located in AppData/Local/Temp and the anti-virus programs primary action was to clean the risks and the secondary action was to quarantine the risks

Now can I just delete them from quarantine and use malwarebytes to "remove selected" and be done with it, or is it more involved than that

Logs will be closed if you haven't replied within 3 days

Please don't attach the scans / logs for these tools, use "copy/paste".

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision.

Doing so could make your pc inoperatible and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data.

Please run a new MBAM scan being sure to update before scanning.

Post the scan results

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Please don't attach the scans / logs, use "copy/paste".
