One time payment?

I am going to buy the Pro version, but your web site says we pay a one time fee.....but there is an option to extend downloads for 2 years. These seem to be contradictory.

If I pay my $24.95 I expect to be able to download the program forever on one computer based on your statement........"Consumers and personal users pay a one-time fee of just $24.95!", so why would I select either of the other options, especially the 2 year download for $5.95????

You only need the license purchase. Some users though seem to feel the need to have a backup cd or download direct link thus it's offered. Once you have the license you can always either update from within the program or download from one of the many public sites and then input your ID and Key to register the program and enable the Pro version.
