Hello toinkyness and welcome to MalwareBytes forums.

Let me suggest, if you're an MBAM customer, you contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org

Alternatively, Please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.

After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Follow this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post.

Please post there MBAM scan log and the DDS logs

Don't post your logs here. We do not directly help with details on malware cleanup in this sub-forum. This one is for general issues with MBAM.

P.S. Two things to be aware of:

This system has the sality virus, which is quite serious.

Also, the malware has disabled task manager and your ability to fix the registry.

Download to your Desktop FixPolicies.exe, by Bill Castner, MS-MVP, a self-extracting ZIP archive from

>>> here <<<

  • Double-click FixPolicies.exe.
  • Click the "Install" button on the bottom toolbar of the box that will open.
  • The program will create a new Folder called FixPolicies.
  • Double-click to Open the new Folder, and then double-click the file within: Fix_Policies.cmd.
  • A black box will briefly appear and then close.
  • This fix may prove temporary. Active malware may revert these changes at your next startup. You can safely run the utility again.

Urge you to get malware cleanup help as noted at the top. Do not do websurfing with this system.
