Recommended Posts

Good afternoon:

1) After downloading malwarebytes I scanned my pc 3 times in a row, rescanning and rebooting everytime until the scan kept on finding the same 2 entries of spyware.bank

2) Its just a vicious loop process of rescanning, get rid of spyware.bank entries, reboot, rescan, get rid of spyware.bank ect...

3) All your help would be greatly appreciated. I thank you all.

Hi. :D

Download ComboFix from one of the locations below, and save it to your Desktop.

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts. Please, never rename Combofix unless instructed.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HijackThis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick Combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Tigger93:

Thanks for responding. First thing this morning I went to the pc in question, downloaded Combofix and followed your instructions. We do not use system restore so I said no to that option. Combofix ran great at first but then hung for over an hour at "Completed Stage 50". When I attempted to check it out the pc just hung. I cold booted, ran malwarebytes and it came up clean. I rebooted and ran malware bytes again and it still came up clean. I deleted all local profiles, rebooted and ran malwarebytes again and it came up clean again.

I'm not crazy about combofix not finishing up but on the other hand I keep coming up with clean sweeps with malwarebytes. I will take this as a good thing. but will also keep my eye on this. If I need to do anything else, please feel free to recommend.

Thanks again. I like this site and can see myself using it more and more.
