flammea Posted March 13, 2012 ID:534455 Share Posted March 13, 2012 Hello!I have also been experiencing the following problem and I'd like to join to the topic so I can hopefully resolve it.AVG 2012 has been detecting the win32/sirefef.er threats more than 20 times a day now, but I have not been experiencing any additional pop - ups or site redirections. So far I have run the AVG scan that comes with one or two results; Malwarebytes AM comes out with nothing; Spybot S&D used to find a couple of things when I first ran it, including some Babylon Toolbar, all of which I successfully deleted. Also Glary Utilities finds some occasional problems which it resolves, but no spyware. When I open the Task Manager there is no display of a running process called "sirefef" but there are many "svchhost.exe" that I have left running because I have no idea if they are connected. I would really appreciate help with this gory matter. Thanks in advance!
