mbam.exe - application error at update

Hello and welcome to the Malwarebytes support forum. Thank you for choosing Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware as your malware security solution, my name is Oscar Rubio and I'll be assisting you today.

This memory issue is typically tracked to a software from one of the following vendors' software:

Neilson

OmniSoft\ScanSoft

Zumo

PCTools

Firewall Plus

JAWS

Do you have any of these installed? Clicking the 'X' will close the error without incident.

Oscar, thanks for the response.

Checked all software on my machine - ScanSoft Omni Page SE is the closest to the mentioned software. I have noticed, as you suggested, that it does not hurt the performance of Malwarebytes. My curiosity was up as the above mentioned error pops-up every time I update Malwarebytes.

My main concern is that the error may have been comprimising Malwarebytes - my thoughts currently, after your response, is that Malwarebytes is running properly.

Thanks again - and keep up the great work with Malwarebytes. It is the one program I have that just keeps right on ticking, and has saved my PC more than once. Matter of fact, the first time I used it pulled my machine out of a major lock-up due to malicious malware. I trust Malwarebytes implicitly.
