Web Protection

I am using AviraFree which has the option of WebGuard if you add the AskToolBar. This WebGuard screens sites visited for malware. I would like this feature, but I don't really want to be forced to use the AskToolBar.

I am wondering if MBAM Pro real time protection will provide me with a similar protection as Avira's WebGuard.

MBAM Pro has an excellent WebBlocker Feature that will help you be protected while searching the web. That being said, you can always go and uninstall the AskToolBar. Usually during the install, it should tell you that it wants to install the AskToolBar but it should give you an option to un-check it as well. If it does not then you can always remove it using the add/remove programs feature in the control panel.
