Good evening,

When I was scrolling through some topic posts in two DIFFERENT security forums today, MBAM Pro generated an OUTGOING block alert. The IP address (87.118.92.88) and the

URL (ns(dot)km20323-04(dot)keymachine(dot)de) was the same in both MBAM blocks.

I have "heard" this particular IP and URL are definitely associated with spamming and malware, with references made that this info was found in the MBAM Forums.

My two questions: (1) - Is this IP & URL definitely known to be malicious and for what reason(s)?

(2) - Why would I be getting two OUTGOING MBAM blocks on two separate websites (both were AV sites) with the same IP & URL being listed as the malicious site being blocked..bearing in mind that I clicked on absolutely nothing, but was merely scrolling down the pages of topic posts when the block alerts occurred?

(The block alerts did not occur on every topic either).

Thank you for your time, review, and any information.

Regards,

Greetings :)

It's possible that one of the avatars or images in a user's signature on both forums was hosted on a blocked IP address. If you see this same IP block on most of the websites you visit, then it could be the result of a browser hijacker, though I doubt that's the case if it only happened on 2 websites.

If you do suspect that an infection may be the cause of the issue, then please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then create a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one on one assistance when one becomes available.

Please note that it may take 48 hours or more for you to receive a response in the malware removal forum, as it is often busy at times. Please do not reply to your own post asking for help unless its been more than 48 hours since you originally posted, as this can make it appear as though you are being helped and take longer for you to get help.

If you are unable to do all or any of the steps in the link to the directions above, just post your problem into the forum I gave you a link to anyway and someone will be able to assist you.

If you prefer to be assisted via email you may contact Consumer Support and one of our support staff members will assist you directly.

Thank you :)
