Infected svchost.exe keeps coming back, Rootkit.win32.BackBoot.gen

I managed to get "Smart Protection 2012" on my laptop.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware cleane all but c:\windows\svchost.exe (tried repeatedly, including in safe mode).

Tried RogueKiller, but it crashes half way through it's scan.

I tried running the AVG free 2012 anti-rootkit scan and it gave me several "threats" as well.

Then tried Kaspersky tdsskiller.exe. It came up with TDSS File System and Rootkit.win32.BackBoot.gen but no choice to cure them.

At that point I realized I'm over my head and could use a little help. Thank you for your time and expertise.
