Broken.OpenCommand won't go away

MBAM finds Broken.OpenCommand each time it runs and each time it says it was successfully treated. But the next time I run MBAM, the same 5 instances of the bug show up again. How do I get this to go away permanently?

Do you have any IOLO products such as System Mechanic installed by any chance? If you do, then that is likely the cause. Please refer to item #18 of our FAQ.

If you have no such products installed, then please post a scan log showing the detected items.

Yup, I run System Mechanic. I went to the FAQ page first but was daunted by the length and didn't drill down to #18. "Broken.OpenCommand" in the forum Search box didn't call it up. Spent a little time now in SM trying to make the changes suggested in #18 but no progress yet. Will make a few more attempts. Mostly just glad to know this is not a true infection. Thx for your help!

If you can't or don't want to change the settings in System Mechanic, you may simply add those items to the Ignore List in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware by using the Ignore function. Just perform a scan, and when the results are displayed, click on an item you wish to ignore then click the Ignore button. Do that for each of the items you want Malwarebytes Anti-Malware not to detect any more and then click on Remove Selected then click OK to the prompt.

Once that's done, those items won't be detected any more.
