Hi

a couple weeks ago my computer became infected by some pretty nasty viruses. I managed too remove them and the anti-virus scans say there are no threats detected. However now my computer seems unable to connect to the internet. The status of my wireless net work says IPv4 connectivity: no internet access and the IPv6 Connectivity: no network access. The status also showssignals are being sent but not recievd. Your help would be much appreciated. :)

Hello and welcome to MBAM, sophiejazz:

We don't review scan logs or work on malware-related issues here in the General PC Help section of the forums.

Although you mention that you have succssfully cleaned the computer, the lack of network connectivity suggests that you may have some lingering after-effects from the infection. (FWIW this is a pretty common problem after today's infections...).

It would be best to have one of the authorized, trained malware removal experts review your logs and assist you further in the malware removal section.

They will provide free, one-on-one assistance with checking your system for malware remnants, with removing them and with getting your network connectivity restored.

Please start a new topic in the malware removal section.

  • When you do, please copy/paste your scan logs content directly into your post, rather than attaching them.
  • Under options, please be sure to select "track this topic" and "immediate email notification", so you'll know when a helper responds.
  • Please be patient - it may be 48 hours or more before a helper can assist you, especially when the forum is very busy.
  • Please do NOT "bump" your topic or reply back to it for at least 48 hours.
  • Doing so may cause your topic to be overlooked, as it will appear that you are already being helped.

After you get the "all clear" from your malware-removal expert, if need be, he/she may refer you back here for additional assistance, if needed.

Thanks!
