scmstr Posted February 21, 2012 ID:529103 Share Posted February 21, 2012 so i've been reading about this problem. I've noticed it over a week or so. It would randomly play some shitty low quality song in the bg once or twice per day from the muted application windows media player diagnostic whateverannnd nobody I've seen has a simple fix for it. Everybody seems to just say 'send us your enormous logfiles'point being, I think I fixed it. I was watching task manager closely upon starting up (not just logging off) and noticed a similar descriptioned task "adbcnsl.exe". Looked around some more and all the google results seemed to point to this being common to the stdrt thing. Hijack this'd that mofo (which was a huge risk and i'm still kinda nervous about) but long story short, restarted, no more stdrt, computer logs on much faster.to note: I also got an error when logging on about not being able to initialize dx9 or something, but I'll get to that when I get to that. I think its lying. If I have any more problems after the second time I restart, I'll try to remember to come back and say something like NO DONT DELETE IT! but so far so good. Ima ride at least today with this startup-jim
