Goldenoldie Posted January 31, 2009 ID:52325 Share Posted January 31, 2009 I notice that on another website (I have withheld the site name as I don't know if I am allowed to mention it in the post) advice is given that having downloaded Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Setup file - before running and installing same - to immediately rename the mbam-setup.exe file to mb.exe to, as they put it
GT500 Posted January 31, 2009 ID:52331 Share Posted January 31, 2009 If Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware installed fine, then there was no need to rename the setup files. That is only a step to allow you to get the software installed when a trojan is blocking it from running.

You have settled my mind as I was able to install the Malwarebytes file on my computer with no problem and now I don't need to worry about whether I should have changed file names or notThanks again for your much appreciated help.
