Cannot connect to internet

Recommended Posts

Hello and thanks in advance for taking the time to help me. I have a 6 month old laptop that has been no trouble until very recently. I had noticed that some time it took 5 or 10 seconds to load a web page like google. I thought it was a connection hiccup and ignored it. It only happened once or twice a day. I am running a full up to date version of Trend Micro AV and Spyware prevention. The problems got really bad after (against my better judgement) I opened a link sent to me by my son. It turns out he did not send it. If it helps in debugging the website is:

It took me to a Canadian prescription drug website which I closed immediately. Everything was okay for the next day then it all went sour. Now when I use the computer most applications are very slow and if I click on the internet icon it starts to open the internet but then the whole computer freezes and I cannot click on anything or use the task manager to close IE. The only recourse is to press the power button to turn the machine off.

Since this started I have run up to date versions of Trend Micro AV, Malwarebytes, Avast AV and Spybot S and D. All of them have come back clean. Most have been run in safe mode because this seems to work better right now. Here is the malwarebytes log and the other logs that were requested are attached.

Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.

In the future, please post all logs directly into your reply instead of attaching them unless otherwise indicated. With that said, please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log.

Next, run DDS again and post DDS.txt directly in your reply.
