No internet connection following virus infection/attack

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My computer got attacked by a false "windows 2012 security alert". I don't remember exactly the name. I think it happened when someone listen to some free TV shows online...

After scanning and removing the infected files, I could no more get access to internet (from the wireless network and from the "cable" (sorry my english is not quite perfect) . I also tried from a restaurant and could not access their wireless network too.

I am not sure if I have been successfull in removing everything since I cannot connect to internet. ?

I did what you asked so this is what I got (see attached files):

Can you help me?

Tonight, I will ran your mbam-setup-1.60.0.1800.exe from a usb-device in safe mode.

Thank you very much. I am not very friendly with this computer stuff.

Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.

In the future, please post all logs directly into your reply instead of attaching them unless otherwise indicated. With that said, please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log.

Next, run DDS again and post DDS.txt directly in your reply.
