Hi, guys. I've had a copy of Malwarebytes program for almost two years now and I've never quite bought the full version. However, my sister (who is getting a new laptop) wants me to help her out to get a good antivirus. I, obviously, recommended Malwarebytes to her. She wants the full version and she says that she could get me it too.

So the problem I have is, when I go to the purchasing page, there's three options. One's for the download, one for the CD, and one for the 24month download on server thing. I want to buy two licenses so my laptop could have one and hers too. So I select TWO items for the product download. Then I want the CD backup too... for both products. When I tick the checkbox for the CD, it says I'll get one. Here's a screenshot:

Well, I want TWO CDs since I'm buying two downloads for two different laptops... or would one CD have two sets of installation files?

Help! Please! We want to get the Pro version ASAP.

ALSO, another question - I've been having 'small' problems with my Malwarebytes... sometimes it takes so long to open... freezes, and sometimes doesn't open at all o.o Would it be better for me to uninstall it completely (IDK how except via Control Panel which still leaves the folders in place?) and just download the new one from when I buy one, or leave it and just enter a license?

Hello and :welcome:

First off let me start by saying that Malwarebytes is not an antivirus software. You will still need to have an antivirus program installed. Malwarebytes is a anti-malware program and is designed to work along side your antivirus program.

Not on the Malwarebytes staff so not sure about the store stuff, but I can tell you that you can use the same cd to install it on both computers. The differance will be in your registraton info that you recieve via email. You could always just re-download the current version from the main site at Malwarebytes.org and install it and register it with your ID and Key.

As for the computer you are having issues with Malwarebytes please perform the steps below:

Clean Install

Please follow the steps described below carefully for an Clean Install of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Software:

  • If you are running MBAM PRO, please be sure you have your license ID and key available (sent via email at the time of online purchase, or in the box).
  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here.
  • It will ask to restart your computer; please allow it to do so - this is very important!
  • After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here.
  • If you are using MBAM PRO, you will need to reactivate (register) the program using the license ID & key.
  • Launch the MBAM program and (if you are using MBAM PRO) set the Protection and Registration.
  • Then go to the UPDATE tab (if not done during installation) and check for updates.
  • Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray (if using the PRO version).
  • Now set up any file exclusions, as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications, and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQs here, or ask and we'll explain how to do it.

Please let us know if this resolves your issues.

If it doesn't, then please refer to this sticky article about updating issues for additional troubleshooting information.

Thanks,

Thanks for your answer regarding one of mu questions. Thankfully,Malwarebytes alongside AVG.

Do you know if one license can work on two computers? I'm planning on getting a new laptop for myself this summer and wondering is the CD a must to get the pro version on another computer?

Unlike a lot of computer programs that have the "key" built-in the particular CD you buy, Malwarebytes uses a license "key" sent to you by the distributor or Cleverbridge in an e-mail. THAT key is good on ANY single installation of MBAMPro no matter where you get the program; off the CD; from Softpedia; Download.com; etc. et al.

Simple GOOGLE search will find a copy for you: post-35425-0-70131100-1327513878.gif

BUT, as Firefox mentioned in his post above, that particular "key" is only valid for ONE installation at a time. If you decide to install MBAMPro from your current computer to a new computer, you MUST remove the "key" from your current installation before using it on the new computer installation. (Follow Firefox's instructions in his post above..)

Hope this helps to clear up any confusion.

Steve..
