regarding a svchost.exe file

Recommended Posts

about 3 days ago, i ran rkill, and it told me that it stopped a process called svchost.exe in globalroot\sysroot or something along the lines of that

it caused me to have BSOD's... i know this because ever since i ran rkill i haven't experienced another blue screen

but... i'm afraid to restart my computer

i have the free version of malwarebytes and it always tells me it found 2 files called svchost.exe and that it needs to restart in order to delete them

but you see, the rkill program only stops the process from running and after a restart it'll just pop up again... im wondering if i've already stopped the process right now, would malwarebytes even successfully delete the file? because it hasn't in the past before i used rkill... help a sista out, yo?

Please don't attach the scans / logs for these tools, use "copy/paste".

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision.

Doing so could make your pc inoperatible and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data.

Please run a new MBAM scan being sure to update before scanning.

Post the scan results

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
