MBAM. verification

Recommended Posts

Hello captnlen.

I also use MSE on my XP Pro-SP3, with MBAM and no issues.

Does your system have a 3-rd party firewall? if so, which one ?

Note there is a public beta 1.60.1 which most likely would fit your sys better, at

OK I had used add/remove to delete malwarebytes. Apparently it left a lot, had a C/program files Malware with lots of files. Had a uninstall.exe and ran that and it got rid of a lot but left one file wbamtxt.dll 1.50.1.0

won't delete. Still having not able to verify when trying to install new copy. How do I get rid of this dll

@captlen

1) Please stick with your other topic in the Beta area

2) Don't use the Cnet or any other download site.

3) The zip file in our Beta forum is what you need really to work with.

4) Save the zip file to your system

5) Run this cleanup sequence (do not use Regedit or any other reg cleaner !)

Please follow this sequence for MBAM removal & re-install:

1) Go to Control Panel and Add-or-Remove programs ( for WIN XP.) For Vista / WIN7 use Programs and Features.

uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Exit Control Panel

2) Logoff and restart your computer

Get, save, and then run the utility at the following link

http://www.malwareby.../mbam-clean.exe

3)Logoff and restart your computer again.

4)Now, reinstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.
