The 1090T is a great processor, I have one in my desktop at home. However, one of the issues that the Phenom II's have had is an underpowered memory controller. In my case, I have 4x4GB of RAM which caused my rig to BSOD until I upped the voltage on my RAM. Not a huge deal, I can live it it.

I would still recommend you go with the FX processor. Yes, it costs more, but it's based off the new bulldozer architecture which is supposed to have better power management.

Yes, I understand, but I could get the phenom 33% cheaper, so I bought that instead.

What do you mean by the underpowered memory controller?, I'll be using it with a mb asrock 880g pro3, and corsair pc-12800 1600Mhz 8Gb CL9 DDR3 ram.

Can I have the same BSOD problems you have?
