pum.hijack.startmenu infection

Recommended Posts

My wife was on the internet and unsuspectingly got, according to mbam scan, a hijack.startmenu virus. Mbam says it removed it, but every time we boot into windows it comes back. How can I remove this pesky virus?

- Thanks for any all help, she is a little freaked out about it.

i ran the dds after mbam ran a scan and "cleaned" out the issues. i'm sure if that will effect the results or not, but i can boot back into windows and the virus will re-emerge and i can do a dds scan again if need be.
