no flash player yet youtube videos play confused help

so i was on youtube and i noticed videos where playing which i found odd since i dont have flash player installed on my computer so i check firefoxes addon listings and i have no script and adblock plus and in plugins i have nvidia 3d vision for mozzilla browsers

and nvidia 3d vision streaming plugin for mozila browsers both of which are disabled in firefox and yet the videos are still playing any ideas why

also of note is that not all videos play just some

ones that dont say that it requires a plugin ( im assuming flash)

i just dont understand how its playing when i dont have a flash player installed and if i mcorrect and its the nvidia 3d vision streaming thats doing it how is it able to do it when the plugin is disabled both of them

i also should point out my graphics card is a geforce gt 555m

and even though its playing these videos i see a message under the video stating that i should get flash player for smoother play back ( or that i should upgrade my flash) even though i dont have it and firefox also states im missing a plugin

i did was the first thing i did and their was nothing else running which is why im confused i know whe nyoutube videos are played with flash player htat plugincontainer.exe is run to contain any crashes to flash player but i didnt see that or any extra plugins at all hence my confusion if i close firefox only 1 process closes

if i open it only one opens

so im slightly confused on how this is happening

one of the reasons i stopped installing adobe flash player is because i spent to much time watching youtube videos and the security risks

Any chance the videos are being played through Windows Media Player, Quicktime, Rhapsody or Silverlight? (Don't look at me; I don't have a clue. )

i dont think so i dont have qicktime raphsody or silverlight installed and as far as i can tell windows media player isnt even opened or set up ( its in its default setting when i click on it it wants me to set it up still which i havnt done) and im not seeing it show up asking me to set it up

but i did some more googling and it seems to be i think the html5 that might be doing it i dont know though since i dont really know what it is just that flash player isnt needed for it

only thing i can think of that would cause this

Looks like Nvidia is teaming up with Youtube to provide streaming 3d content (at least) via HTML5. No Flash needed.
