How to stop trial early?

Recommended Posts

Is there any way to end the free trial early?

Hello,

Please do the following:

1. Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.

2. Restart your computer (very important).

3. Download and run this utility. mbam-clean.exe

4. It will ask to restart your computer once more. (please allow it to restart).

Note: If you got the error SHGetValue failed with error code 0, then more than likely it's because the clean up tool had nothing to do.

Any evidence of the trial will be removed..

Steve

To add to what ShyWriter said, the trial will no longer be active, but when you re-install the program you will once again be prompted to start the trial. With that in mind, make sure that when you open Malwarebytes for the first time after reinstalling that you decline the trial when prompted.

Thanks Michael; I wasn't sure if he wanted to stop using MBAM completely or just do a clean, licensed install. I appreciate the assistance.

Cheers,

Steve

Also, when going through the uninstall process, you can skip removing Malwarebytes via control panel since mbam-clean.exe will remove all of the Malwarebytes files by itself.
