American airline virus recover lost files

Thanks to all of the computer world that is so much smarter then me, Thank you "my bleeping computer.com, and thank you Malwarebytes. Within the last year not once but twice now a coworker has been hit with devilish viruses. This time the American Airline ticket. I am pretty good about backing up information on both of our computers on an external hard drive. We had been working on a project for about a month now and have several hours of work tied up into it, the one user only program used for this project happened to be on his computer. He received the blessed email and like far too many wanted to know who had his credit card information to purchase a ticket. You all know what happened next. I thanks to my brother recommending spybot caught the virus, I then confirmed it by installing and running malwarebytes. Unfortunately I still didn't have my missing files. Enter mybleepingcomputer and the recommended unhide.exe. I had found and used this combination for a registry cure virus last summer and it worked then too. Computers are cheap infected with most viruses can be reformatted and back like new, the information we store on those computers are a lot of times priceless yet the main companies here to help you in your time of need give instructions the average person doesnt understand or sends you looking for things that are not there but are willing for a fee to assist you 24/7. A lot of the time the fee costs more then you can justify. It's good to see honest people who are willing to help. I hope this will help others facing the same problem I just dealt with.

hello,

Not sure I understand you correctly. Do you have an open HJT topic here or at bleeping computer, If so you should stay with your helper they will advise you on the best course of action. There help is free but be patient, they are all volunteers who volunteer there time to helping others like yourself and quite often have a very large workload.

If your asking about recovering files from a broken system a lot of times you can do so with a Linux Live disc, as long as you can mount the drive the files reside on. If you have already reformatted I'm afraid they may already be lost, depending on how you formatted it.

could you please clarify what your asking so we can better assist you.

We are glad Malwarebytes has helped you eradicate this malicious software. If your current security solution let this infection through, you might please consider purchasing the FULL version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for additional protection.

Thank you for using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Activating the full version unlocks realtime protection, scheduled scanning, and scheduled updating.
