Thatusername Posted January 17, 2012 Author ID:517806 Share Posted January 17, 2012 So why is the affiliate program a secret? Why do I have to let MB decide that they want me before I can decide if I want to be part of the program? It's like going to the used car lot and asking how much a car is only to be vetted with questions by the seller to find out how much I've got to spend. I don't need to divulge that information to buy a car, I need a price so that I can decide if I want to buy.It also seems to be a common practice to keep the aspects of the programs secret. I signed up for something that Avast called a reseller program and found the website of their supplier was totally unusable unless you wanted to put a banner on a website. It needed another website just to explain how to use it.

Thatusername Posted January 18, 2012 Author ID:518027 Share Posted January 18, 2012 One of my computers has a script that automatically adds the secure protocol if available. Apparently https is available for malwarebytes.org. Has it been hijacked? Purchased by someone spoofing malwarebytes?
Mainard Posted January 18, 2012 ID:518156 Share Posted January 18, 2012 https://store.malwarebytes.org is different from http://www.malwarebytes.orgThe store uses secure protocol. The main page doesn't need the secure protocol so it doesn't use it.malwarebytes.org is our domain so no, it has not been hijacked.Thank you.

Moogle Posted January 21, 2012 ID:518890 Share Posted January 21, 2012 The affiliate program is not a secret but we need to see if you would qualify to sell our product, only to ensure our users are protected. Our payouts are typical of most other software affiliate programs (hinting without saying it
