Malwarebytes Anti-malware impossible to run

Hi all,

I cannot run my Malwarebytes Anti-malware. I have carefully read all the instructions on the forum but it does not work. When I click on the exe file the mbam.exe file starts and take all the CPU power.

I have used mbam clean, added exceptions to my Panda antivirus, but nothing... I do not have a firewall I use the one of windows. I tried to switch it off and run MBAM but nothing.

Please help!!!

A few questions to help us assist you better:

  • What is your computer OS (Windows XP, Vista or 7)?
  • Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?
  • What is the Windows OS Service Pack?
  • If it is XP, is your OS installed on the C: drive, or another drive letter?
  • What EXACT name and version of AV and firewall are you running? (You mention "Panda AV", but could you please be more specific about the version?)(You mention Windows firewall - thanks.)
  • Was MBAM previously working for you & is now not working after an attempted update to the current version (1.6.0.1800)?
  • Or have you not been able to install/run MBAM at all?
  • Have you recently been or do you think you might now be infected (popups, browser redirects, program or system crashes, other abnormal behavior)?
