blinkbomber Posted January 15, 2012 ID:517204 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Hello!I've got a Windows XP Pro SP3 that will boot normal but only load the background. No taskbar, desktop icons, nothing. Mouse pointer is there and responds accordingly. Keyboard does not work.I found numerous suggestions to do a repair install of Windows XP. I did, and it didn't appear to do anything. Cannot boot into "Safe Mode with Networking" now because Windows needs to be activated."Safe Mode" operates normally, which is where I am working from at this point.I've run ComboFix.I've run MalwareBytes AntiMalware and fixed (deleted) a few unfamiliar things though was cautious because I didnt want to delete anything important to the system.I attempted Registry edits correctly and nothing. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.attach.txtdds.txt

Staff screen317 Posted March 21, 2012 Staff ID:536664 Share Posted March 21, 2012 Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes. In the future, please post all logs directly into your reply instead of attaching them unless otherwise indicated. With that said, please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log. Next, run DDS again and post DDS.txt directly in your reply.
