Need some help with scan logs

Recommended Posts

I was checking out my schedule for scanning and discovered when I clicked on the "Logs" tab that the antimalware logs record seems to have stopped as of 12-31-2011. The last "protection log" shown is on 1-3-2012.

I have attached a screenshot of my scheduler page.

If the antimalware logs aren't being recorded, does that mean the daily quick scans are not running?

Hello -

Please open the face of the program, click update, and check the Database Version number.

As I post I have v2012.08.01 - if you do not then please do a malual update and install the latest version.

Thank You -

I did as you suggested, but it updates every day. This doesn't really answer my question as to why my scans haven't been running. It did run today I see.

Did the daily scans begin after you clicked on Update as I asked you to ??

Are the scans now active at (or about) the time that you have set them to ??

I note that you have scans set for at or about 1300 hours, is the computer usually on at this time ??

Thank You -

Hello Nikilet and Welcome to Malwarebytes forums.

In your picture of the schedule it looks as if you have the missed by only set to 4 hours. This means that if the computer can not scan the computer within 4 hours of the schedule time it will skip the scan and wait until the next day to scan. Changing that setting to 23 hours will allow the computer to be able to try to scan the computer up until 1 hour before the next scan. This should allow enough time for the computer to make up that scan that it missed.
