Sirs,

I downloaded a couple of CAD utilities, via the cnet downloader to help with submitting a design to a PCB manufacturing service, and this morning was beset with a complex set of seemingly unrelated problems on my Windows 7, 64bit box. My sound icon had a red x over the speaker, and my firewall service would not start. Also my Windows Screencapture icon is gone, and it any many other system level programs and utilities (services for example in the control panel) will not run.

After a after noon of frantic "Googling" I was led to this site, following a post of another victim to this particular forum.

I have followed the instructions posted generally, and am including the mbam-log that found the two viruses in the specific CNET downloader(s).

I really need to have this machine right for work, and so so appreciate anyone's help on getting it back OK. I guess my feeling are now something has changed my user or group permissions and hosed my ability to start and run an entire spectrum of programs accordingly.

Thank you, in advance, for the kind consideration of your valuable time.

Sirs,
