I've been using both SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes for many years. My last SAS scans detected (for the first time) absolutely no tracking cookies, probably because prior to the scans I had downloaded the latest 1.60.0.1800 MBAM, which appears to be very problematic. These lacking SAS scans occurred in 2 different computers having Windows XP SP2, but also Windows 7 Home Premium and Avira and MSE respectively.I'm afraid that other more significant malware could have been overlooked by SAS and by MBAM as well.

I updated SAS and surfed in internet sites that install tracking cookies that their name is synonymous with the internet sites (and are therefore detectable). These cookies were identified in the computer with Windows XP SP2, but NOT in the computer with Windows 7.So, this isn't an XP issue... very weird. No one encountered such a problem ?

Hello and welcome to the forum Taxin,

What browsers are you using on the two computers? Any addons that restrict or block cookies on the Win 7 browser? Are you able to upgrade to SP 3 on your XP machine?

In both computers I use Firefox 3.6.25 without any addons.I never tried to upgrade XP SP2 to SP3 as I'm satisfied with SP2 and usually am slow to upgrade to new editions before getting good opinions on them (I wish I was cautious with MBAM 1.60 ;)
