Hi,

I have the full, paying version of Malwarebytes. I noticed it hasn't been starting up and when I just tried to run it, it wouldn't start.

I've had it with no problems for over 2 months now. I also was unable to get online.

So I connected with the Ethernet cable and updated manually and did a scan. It found 2 infections and I am wondering how I was infected at all. I am very careful and the tech at MBAM told me the new Malwarebytes would protect me. I deleted the infections and restarted and still couldn't get on then I checked my Quarantine list and they were both there.

IS there anything else I need to do, to make sure these are gone and I don't get infected again.

Thanks!

Hello,

Symptoms sound like a definite malware infection.

You can restart the system into Safe Mode with Networking, by restarting Windows, and as soon as system is restarting, tap F8 function key, and select Safe Mode with Networking.

See this article How to start Windows in Safe Mode

Once there, start MBAM,and do a FULL Scan. Allow to remove (quarantine or delete) what it finds.

after that, if still have issues, then Let me suggest, if you're an MBAM customer, you contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org

Alternatively, Please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.

After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post.

Please post there MBAM log

Thank you. I will call tomorrow.

I did go into safe mode and run a full scan. It came up clean with 0 infections...

I just think it is strange. I received a message for Mbam 2 days ago that a it wanted to install the new version... I did. Then all this began, so now I am wondering if the Mbam is bad itself. I will call tech support tomorrow.

Thank you so much for your help! :)
