THe nirsoft utilities are very useful to me. However I get a MWB "has detected a malicioud process attempting to start ...) when these are run. I ignored when I started the program. On another post you say these are PUP because others can use them.

Ok so I like them. I can ignore them BUT how are they starting when I do not start them? After they start, quickscan or flashscan does not find them find them. I do not like that they start without me explicitly start them but hate to discard them unless they are really harmful

Thanks

If you're using Windows Vista or Windows 7, then it's likely that the cause is a process called SuperFetch, which newer Windows versions use to pre-load commonly used programs into memory so that when you go to run those programs, they will load faster. When the Malwarebytes protection module sees this, it appears that those processes are attempting to execute.

The best way to handle this would be to open Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (the scanner) and access the Ignore List tab. Click on the Add button and navigate to each file one at a time and click OK. Once all of those files are listed in your Ignore List tab, you may close Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (the scanner) and they should no longer be detected by the protection module.
