Updating from 1.51.1

I have not used MBAM Pro for a few months. I have v. 1.51.1 and a data base from Sept/2011. I tried updating but got an error message: program_error_updating(403,0,HTTP Status Code).

I am wondering if it is better to do a clean install of the new 1.60 version. That is, remove the v 1.51.1 and use MBAM Cleaner, then install v. 1.60.

Until an MBAM staffer stops by, yes, that's what I (just a home user) would do.

I always prefer a clean install for new software, especially with a significant version update.

Less chance of errors and corruption.

Please be sure to REBOOT after running mbam-clean and AGAIN after installing version 1.60.

Be sure as well to set the reciprocal permissions and exclusions between MBAM and your AV/firewall.

And be sure to have your ID and key handy BEFORE you run mbam-clean, as you will need this info to register the new version.
