Last night my PC was running a bit slow than usual, so I decided to do a full scan using Malwarebytes and the end result was the following,Malwarebyte only detected one item as bad:

Vendor: PUM.Hidden.Desktop

Item:HKCU/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/Advanced|HideIcons

Category:Registry Data

Date:12/31/2011,1:44 AM

So as a result I Quarantined the malware. After that I did full scan using Avast and the result was clean. Today I googled "PUM.Hidden.Desktop" and it lead me to this forum and learned of people having similar issues and having to do with having our icons hidden. I in deed have hidden my icon since I use Objectdock. Also, earlier this morning I ran a full scan on my other PC (Netbook running Windows 7 Starter) to see if I end with the same malware result but the full scan came clean from Malwarebyte, even though both of my PCs have hidden icons. Is this "Malware" false or real. I just find it really coincidental because precisely the day my pc is running slow, this item is detected. Thank You!

This item is not dangerous per say. It is a setting in windows that has been modified from the out of box state. PUM detections mean potentially unwanted modification. Objectdock does set this. Being there seems to be similiar software using this we have decided to pull this detection. This will no longer be detected in the next update.

So should I delete said item from my ignore list, and should I also restore the item? From my 1st scan I quarantined the so called PUM.Hidden.Desktop. And in my 2nd scan I added it to my ignore list. BTW, excuse my ignorance but by "next update" do you mean the next definition update or software update? This is the Current database information:

DATE:1/2/2012

Database Version: v2012.01.02.06

Fingerprints loaded: 283275

In the "About"section I have:

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.60.0.01800

Thank You for you help and time. You guys provide the best service and help.

There is no need to restore it. If it was coming back then the dock software was restoring each boot anyway.

U can remove it from the ignore list if you want though it wont matter much cause its no longer in the database.

It was removed from the database so your current update or later will not have this detection in it.
