mbamservice.exe mem usage

Hi, I'm using Windows XP and my MBAM is a free version. How come there is that mbamservice.exe running?? It's using 100,000 K of mem usage and it's slowing down my computer. How to disable it?

Did you enable the trial? The only reason mbamservice.exe should be running is if you're either using the PRO version or the free 14 day trial. If you only want the free version, then please do the following:

• Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here
  
• It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important
  
• After the computer restarts, install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here
  

When you open the program for the first time and it asks you about the trial, click on Decline.

MBAM is a free version is not an "active program" -

There fore it will not/can not use Process unless you activate a scan -

Did you uninstall and reinstall, then reject any offer of a free Active Trial -

Is this statement meant to refer to when you run MBAM or at any time ??

Was this due to the Un / Re install ??

I think it might be due to the version transition (from 1.51 to 1.60).

When it went from 1.51 to 1.60, it didn't ask for a trial.

Exile360 solved my issue.
