Anti Malwarebytes replace anti virus s/w as stand alone protection?

I've installed Anti Malwarebytes Pro. I have been running Trend Micro on PC for years. Can I uninstall Trend Micro and simply use Anti Malware bytes Pro standalone for full PC protection?

Not a good idea. Malwarebytes is not intended to replace your antivirus application.

Malwarebytes is not an antivirus, it is designed to help your antivirus. You need to keep a good antivirus on your system as well, but if you don't want to pay, I would recommend Microsoft Security Essentials instead (If that's the reason you are uninstalling Trend Micro)

Malwarebytes' Antimalware is just what it states it is, a anti-malware removal tool and is meant to compliment your antivirus software, better stated, to catch what most antivirus software miss. You still need a antivirus software for protection

There is no such software as "Anti Malwarebytes Pro".

It is Malwarebytes' Anti Malware Professional (aka; MBAM Pro)
