First: I just finished testing MBAM Pro againts 89 samples < 1 week old... Approx. 90% detection rate! Fared better than AVG Free!

Second: I have noticed that there have been less signatures everyday, there used to be 350,000+... now there are about 280,000. Why? Are you compacting to save space? Were there THAT many false positives?

This is very interesting.

We recently optimized the database by improving many heuristics signatures which allowed us to cover many more samples using a smaller number of actual fingerprints, this reduced the database size and actually increased our detection rates for many malware families .
