Hi,

Not sure if I've posted this in the right section of the forums.

I just ran a scan using Malwarebytes free, and this showed up in the log. Is it a false positive or an actual virus threat? If it's a virus, how do I remove it?

That link you posted is in the false positive forums. I'm confused.

Also, was just wondering. Could the 'Hidden Desktop' thing be referring to me hiding my desktop icons? In Windows 7, I choose to hide my desktop icons.

Yes, that's precisely what this detection is (which is what the researcher in that post I linked to above was explaining). We detect this setting because some infections are also known to hide a user's icons by changing this setting, but since you set it that way yourself, the best thing to do would be to have Malwarebytes ignore the item.
