Just before 3PM EST today 12/29/2010 I updated a copy of Malwarebytes Anti-malware Pro that I have had on this computer over a year now and now malwarebytes will not run. It does not load at all. I run and passed all the Chamelean tests. I need this progrm soon as I use this computer on my bank and broker accounts. What should I do to fix it? Thanks for your time.

Hello rfharbin,

Go ahead and follow the instructions below for a clean install.


  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here
  • It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important
  • After the computer restarts, install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here

    • Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version
    • Launch the program and register. Make sure to cut and paste the ID and Key into the proper fields(free users can skip).

    [*]Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

This should take care of the issue.
