I am experiencing the following error when I try to update.

Program_Error_Updating(0,0, Connection refused)

MBAM will scan, it just will not update.

I have tried disabling my firewall and MS Security Essentials realtime protection but still no update. Microsoft Security Essentials detected and removed the following files on12-28-11. I am not currently experiencing any other virus symptoms but it concerns me that MBAM will not update.

Exploit:Java/CVE-2009-3869.R

Exploit:Java/CVE-2010-0094.FN

Running Vista 64 bit SP2

MBAM v 1.60.0.1800

Database Version: v2011.12.24.05

Using Linksys router.

XP computer on same network updates successfully.

Also added the following files to excluded file types in Security Essentials but this is probably a moot point since I disabeled realtime protection. I pasted in mbamswissarmy.sys although it is not present on my systme even though runnin Vista 64bit.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe

C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe

C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe

C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dll

C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dll

C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll

C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys

C:\Windows\SysWoW64\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys

I appreciate any help you can offer.

This shows that you may still be infected (did you update your Java to 7 Update 1) -

We don't work on malware removal in this part of the forums.

Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then create a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one on one assistance when one becomes available.

Please note that it may take 48 hours or more for you to receive a response in the malware removal forum, as it is often busy at times. Please do not reply to your own post asking for help unless its been more than 48 hours since you originally posted, as this can make it appear as though you are being helped and take longer for you to get help.

If you are unable to do all or any of the steps in the link to the directions above, just post your problem into the forum I gave you a link to anyway and someone will be able to assist you.

If you prefer to be assisted via email you may contact and one of our support staff members will assist you directly.
