Scanner locks up after 1.60 install

Within program install totally crashed my computer. After the install shut down Norton the computer shut down like it was powered off. Win Vista SP2 Norton internet security 2011. MBAM Pro. On restart Norton would not run reinstalled and restarted Norton now ok.

Uninstalled Mbam rebooted. Ran Mbam clean rebooted. Fresh install of Mbam and enabled protection module. All seemed ok. On the fly blocking works BUT....ANY SCAN LOCKS SYSTEM UP. Can not even start task manager. Have to do a hard reset. I'm done for now screwing with it on the fly is what I really need. Never had a problem till this update. Guess I will hope for a future update less buggy update.

I'm not saying this is the definitive answer for you as I don't use Norton, but it worked beautifully for me using Avira. Add an exception for mbam.exe in the real time protection mode of your antivirus.

Turned off everything Norton and scanner still locks up. Seems to be at random places. During one scan it stopped for 30 sec or more and the continued. When this happens the time counter is not counting.

MBAM is looking at my files for a fix, hopfully soon. I'm back using Version 1.5
