Latest Version (1.60.0.1800) Update glitch

Hi Everyone

I am running Windows Xp Sp3 and have not had any problem with Malwarebytes until the latest update..Version 1.60.0.1800

Program downloads and installs OK but refuses to update.

Receive standard Windows....program not responding error message.

The ever helpful Tom in 'Support'reckons the impediment is with my McAfee security protection.

It may well be but I have not changed McAfee in anyway and it has not blocked any previous version so why take exception to Version 16 ?

I see others in the forums are complaining about the issue so my experience may well not be exceptional.

Any one any thoughts on the problem or can suggest a fix ?

Have you tried Setting Exclusions for Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware in McAfee
