I've used MBAM for years (along with various anti-virus programs) on XP, Vista, and Windows 7 and have never had a problem with malware infection. I've always believed that while web surfing I am getting "real time protection" from MBAM. I occasionally get MBAM "block messages" such as: IP-BLOCK 77.247.181.102 (Type: outgoing, Port: 50343, Process: iexplore.exe)

I thought this was "real time protection". Today, in starting to download the new version of MBAM, I notice that it says that real time protection is available only with MBAM PRO; I read the same thing, as well, in a review of MBAM from 2009. So now I'm wondering what these "block messages" are if they are not real time protection. I'd appreciate any comments to help me to understand this. Thanks!
