To me it seems Scheduled Updates works correctly, and Scheduled Scans does not.

I use Win 7 x64 / Hybrid Sleep / latest MBAM version.

When I wake my PC:

- Scheduled Updates RUNS, to "recover" for missed scheduled updates.

- Scheduled Scans does NOT run, to "recover" for missed scheduled scans.

Is this a MBAM issue, or just something unique for my PC setup/settings?

Scheduled Scans settings:

Frequency: Hourly

Repeating Every: 12 hours

Recover if missed by: 2 hours

I can get you screen prints if that will help.

Thanks, David

Hello DavidMbncus,

If you want to make sure that your scans will scan upon startup you will need to set the Recover if missed by time to a higher number. If you are scanning every 12 hours then your recover if missed by should be set to 11 hours. This will ensure that you will scan will go off when you start up the computer.

Also, if you do not shut your computer off but instead let it go to sleep you can always add a check mark next to the option to Wake computer from sleep to perform task. That way, it can scan when you are not using the computer.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Also note that if a scheduled update and scheduled scan are launched at the same time (for your case, since both are set to 'Recover if missed by', they both try to run once the PC starts up), then only the scheduled update will run, not the scan. This is a known issue that we hope to have fixed in a future release, though I do not know when.

Thanks for the quick replies.

I'll try changing the setting to 11 hours, and see what happens.

I'm not sure if "Wake my computer" would work for me...

This is an "HTPC/General Purpose" PC, and it might not go back to sleep after a scan.

This PC is rarely Shut off, or re-booted (only as needed).

The reply from exile360 may explain why I see this...

Thanks to both of you, and Happy New Year !
