Malwarebytes wont open, cant send https data on certain websites

Recommended Posts

I've been having a problem lately with my internet in that i cannot log into my emails (hotmail and uni email) while on this computer. Firstly i must apologise i made 2 accounts firstly because i couldnt log into the account to verify the account but luckily have my uni emails on my iphone which is connected to my internet and is able to log in for some reason. My mother is also able to log into her emails whilst on a different computer as her credentials are saved however i am not able also on that account.

The 1st account name was called Gileshateshackers, just letting you know if you wanted to delete it :)

Ok sorry for the waffling, teachers always had a go at me for that at school. I managed to download and install Malwarebytes and scan probably about 2 weeks ago (i've been fairly slow and lazy with the problem) where it found a few things it wasnt happy with but managed to get rid of them hunky dorey. A little while after that i started to realise i wasnt able to open Malware anymore, i see the process in the task manager but no life, infact multiple processes start to stack up. I am in safe mode with networking at the moment and have redownloaded it but still no luck. I have also tried naming the exe file a different name but with the same result. I looked at your pinned thread and have attached the information required.

The internet problem which i dont know is connected or not but happened around the same time has had no feedback from orange (my ISP) who havent found any fault with the line.

I did these tests while in safe mode, i dont know if that affects it at all but if you need me to run it in normal mode just let me know.

Many thanks for any assistance you can provide,

oh also i still have a setup window bar at the bottom from installing it which is unresponsive, again dont know if that assists you in anyway.

oh a bit of additional info i just remember:

- i couldnt download malware off your website, the browser just hanged on "sending request" and downloaded it from download.cnet which might have an out of date version?

- also F8 doesnt work to start in safe mode and am having to use msconfig to boot it.

Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.

Please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log.

Next, please visit this webpage for instructions for running ComboFix:

  • When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.
  • Please post the contents of C:\ComboFix.txt along with a new DDS log so we may continue cleaning the system.

Hi, i couldnt update malware because i am unable to open it and right clicking the icon in the bottom right has the same effect. I ran combofix which has screwed up my computer big time...

Every file that i try to run normally comes up with an error message saying "illegal operation on registry key marked for deletion", the only way i can open stuff is by running it as an administrator.

Additionally i stupidly closed the combofix report and cannot open it any nor run DDS etc as there is no option to run as administrator and can find no option in their properties either...

Im really worried now
