Possible false positive backdoor.bot

Recommended Posts

Malware bytes has identified and removed several threats but one last one remains, backdoor.bot in the registry. It says it will remove on reboot but after reboot and another scan it shows up again. I have done this several times. I cannot see this when I look at the registry. Attached is the log file. What can I do? Could this be a false positive?

Thank you for your help.

I don't know of any cases where that can be legit , do you know how this got there ?

We don't know how this got on my 74 year old mother's computer. She pretty much only does email, so we guess from an email. She gets reinfected periodically with trojans after checking email. AVG finds and gets rid of the viruses but this error about the registry key from Malware bytes never goes away. Could it be hidden somewhere on the computer?
