I am having some heavy useability issues following an XP Internet Security 2012 infection. Firstly, I want to point out that I can not use the DDS download to assist because, on the infected computer the Malwarebyutes website just redirects to a fake download site. I am currently posting from a second computer.

I came home to an infection from XPIS2012 that made it impossible to open any .exe. I followed a suggestion I saw on this forum to change the mbam.exe to mbam.com, ran that and it found 18 infection files. I followed the prompt to reboot. After rebooting, every time I try and run an executable I get an Open With window asking me to navigate to the program I wish to open the file with. I have to do this every time I run a program, even simple things like the Notepad and Calculator programs that come with Windows. Firefox is also hijacking my google searches on the issue, pointing links to Malwarebytes and Bleeping Computer to advertising links.

I am currently using AVG Antivirus Free and Malwarebytes Free to try and resolve the issue, but every time I delete one infection, more pop up.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
